For our February 12, 2016 meeting, we are planning a return engagement with Dr. John De Massa, organic chemist, who spoke to us two years ago on the subject of dinosaur soft tissue in fossil bones and the chemical feasibility of claims that it could survive for millions of years, buried in rocks. Since then, he co-authored a paper on this subject with Dr. Ed Boudreaux, which was published in a special issue of the Creation Research Society Journal.

John DeMassa holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University. He is a Founder and President of The New England School of Theology in Fairfield, CT. He and co-founder Dr. Ray Pennoyer have worked to bring evangelical scholarship to Connecticut in the form of classes, articles, and conferences on a variety of theological and apologetic subjects. John preaches part time at a retirement home, and also works full time as an industrial chemist designing antioxidants.

Dr. De Massa will discuss the question of chemical evolution, providing a reassessment of the evolutionary theory of life from chemicals.
