C.S. Lewis, Anti-Darwinist: A Careful Examination of the Development of His Views on Darwinism
In this March 7th presentation, Dr. Jerry Bergman will share many of his findings from his landmark new book, C. S. Lewis, Anti-Darwinist: A Careful Examination of the Development of His Views on Darwinism, in which Bergman has done a masterful (and highly entertaining) job of documenting Lewis’s unfolding thoughts on the subject, and proving that Lewis was indeed an increasingly belligerent opponent of evolution theory.
Although apologist C. S. Lewis died in 1963, he remains one of the best-selling Christian writers of all time. It is therefore both interesting and encouraging to know that Lewis rejected Darwinism in all its forms – far from a given in his day, before the modern creation-science movement had begun amassing evidence that the Genesis account of our origins is true.
