Many times we see photos of the heavens with areas called “star-forming regions.” But how did the first stars form? All proposals concerning how the universe could spontaneously generate the first stars are as hopeless as the models of how the universe could spontaneously generate life! This talk will be aimed at laypeople, not astronomy students.
