Artificial Reef Snorkel

Snorkel Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Participants will be given a biblically-based overview of marine species commonly seen in South Florida’s reef systems. After a brief introduction, participants will be led along an artificial reef system and snorkel tour in the crystal blue waters adjacent to Phil Foster Park in the Intracoastal Waterway. Known for its unique marine life, this snorkel is a great location to view such unusual species as the Leopard Sea Robin, Cushion Sea Star, Inflated Sea Biscuit, Atlantic Long-arm Octopus, Eyed Flounder, Burrfish, Longsnout Seahorse and Longfin Squid, just to name a few. All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent. Participants must provide their own mask and snorkel as there are no rental facilities at the park. Fins are not required but all participants must be strong swimmers. Participants must bring their own water and snacks.
