“The Archaeology of Joshua and the Conquest of Canaan”
According to many archaeologists and historians, the accounts in Joshua about the conquest of cities in Canaan such as Jericho are contradicted by archaeological findings. However, a detailed analysis demonstrates that the Joshua narrative is supported by archaeology, geography, and historical texts. This presentation will address the various arguments and evidence, with an emphasis on Jericho, Ai, Hazor, and Shechem.
About Dr. Kennedy: Titus is a field archaeologist working primarily with sites and materials related to the Bible. He has been involved in excavations and surveys at several archaeological sites in Bible lands, including directing and supervising multiple projects, and he has conducted artifact research at museums all over the world. He teaches as an adjunct professor at Biola University, researches for Discovery Institute and APXAIOC Institute of Biblical Archaeology, consults on documentaries and curricula, has published numerous articles about archaeology and the Bible, and is currently writing a book on artifacts of the Bible
