Pastor David Ahlman was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Rev. Arnold and Ruth Ahlman on October 25, 1956. In 1963, the Ahlman family moved to Northglenn, Colorado. He attended Faith Lutheran School and Lutheran High School in Denver, graduating in 1975. He attended St. John’s College in Winfield, Kansas, receiving an Associate of Arts degree. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1983. He was ordained into the holy ministry on June 12, 1983. Since his ordination, he has served at four congregations: Zion Lutheran Church in Tobias, Nebraska from 1983-1986; Trinity Lutheran Church in Burlington, CO from 1986-1992; Ascension Lutheran Church, in El Paso, Texas from 1992-1997; and Peace Lutheran Church, in Arvada, CO from 1997 to present. His passion is to reach the community with the Gospel doing so through involvement in various community outreach efforts. He has also been blessed to witness global mission efforts in India and South Africa. He finds special joy in his ministry through preaching, teaching, and sharing God’s Word through counseling situations and visits. Pastor Ahlman married Beth Klein of Englewood, Colorado in 1977. They have been blessed with five children and 11 grandchildren. Pastor Dave enjoys working in his yard, camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, and cheering on the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos.
