Gary Bates is a former evolutionist who has been involved with the creation/evolution debate since 1990. He became the head of ministry for Creation Ministries International in Australia, then in late 2009 moved to the United States and became the CEO of CMI in the United States. In November 2008 Bates became the first CEO of CMI Worldwide, the federation of CMI Ministries around the world.
