$15Rocky Intertidal Survey on August 8, 2015 with Christa Jewett at John U. Lloyd Park of Dania Beach, FL.
When: Saturday, August 8, 2015
Duration: 2 hours Participants will be led on a guided hike along Dania Beach and the fishing jetty where they will be given a biblical overview of the rocky intertidal zone ecosystem. We will climb on the rocks and search the beach for marine life before touring the jetty to view animals normally missed by the untrained eye. PLEASE COME PREPARED TO GET WET! All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent. Participants will meet at the far north parking lot adjacent to the jetty in John U. Lloyd Park in Dania Beach, Florida (6503 N. Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, Florida 33004). Participants must bring their own water and snacks. Cost: $15 per student with a 20% sibling discount. Expenses: There is a $6.00 per vehicle park admission fee (2-8 people per vehicle). Cash will be required to pay this fee at the park entrance.
