COST: $30 per person
EXPENSES: The park charges $30 (plus tax) for up 1.5 hours of kayak rental for a single kayak and $40 (plus tax) for a double kayak. Canoes are also available for $45 (plus tax) for up to 1.5 hours. If you provide your own kayak, you must also bring a life jacket. In addition, there is a $6.00 per vehicle (up to 8 people) park admission fee. Cash will be required to pay this fee at the park entrance.
Mangrove Hike and Kayak Trip! Participants will be led on a guided hike through a mangrove forest where they will be given a biblical overview of the mangrove ecosystem. Chasing mangrove crabs, licking salt off mangrove leaves, listening to snapping shrimp “pop” their warnings and spotting various fish hiding in the mangrove roots are all highlights of this portion of the field trip. Following the hike, participants will be led on a guided 1.5 hour kayak through the mangroves to offer them a water-based viewpoint.
This is a biblically-based tour. All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent. Participants will meet at Parking Lot #9 (the last parking lot) in Oleta River State Park in Miami, Florida (3400 Northeast 163rd Street Miami, FL 33160-4460). Participants must bring their own water and snacks.

Payment: Once you complete the online Registration form, Saltwater Studies will send you an itemized invoice via PayPal which you can pay using either a PayPal account or a credit/debit card. You must submit your payment at the time of registration in order to complete your reservation.
Interested participants who would like to sign up but have not submitted payment will be added to a waiting list until payment is submitted.
